Inspiration: This intended to be a quick showing my friends what a card with Dave's picture might look like. The Visa Next Card allows you to select your own picture and I wanted to select Dave.

Creation: I started with a classic pic I had of Dave, "The finger point-and-shoot". I gave him a plain background of blue gradient with clouds. But, my real quandary was to choose the text in which to introduce the 'D' Card. I tried several different texts but chose Serpantine font. I tried a number of background colors too, but it all came down to the blue and the red, I chose blue. I created a very fast credit card frame, pretty shoddy work! But the Dave was in place with the proper color, background, text, and placement.
Intermediate Steps:
Final Notes: Although the D-Card pic is not as detailed as many of the others, it still served its purpose: to show me what an actual D-Card might look like. I sent the picture to the Next Card folks and many weeks later I happily saw a Next Card letter in the mail. I ripped it open as fast as I could and looked, there it was --The D-Card! But wait! They cut out the 'D-Card' text! Those bastards. Oh well, the picture was beautiful nonetheless.
